Hispanic Information Television Network (HITN) informs an entire nation of Latinos

Book - 12-10

Hispanic Information Television Network (HITN) delivers educational programming to over 42 million homes, and over 40% of Latino households, throughout the US and Puerto Rico.

HITN takes this responsibility seriously…and their latest project proves it. Tu Momento 2016 is a twelve-part overview of the entire US presidential electoral process, from initial candidacy to election day.

Hosted by award-winning journalist Gerson Borrero, and running from April 2016 through election day on November 8, Tu Momento 2016 encourages Latino voter participation by educating the Spanish-speaking community about the rules, nuances, vagaries and chicaneries of the US national electoral system.

Mr. Mike Nieves is the president and CEO of HITN. He is also a veteran political analyst and advisor to dozens of elected officials, including three New York City Council Speakers. Mr. Nieves recently published a summary of Tu Momento 2016 which was published by the National Institute of Latino Policy:

Congratulations to HITN, Mike Nieves, and Gerson Borrero, on creating this timely and extremely necessary program of public education.
