Vote For Me! was written & directed by Nelson Denis, the author of War Against All Puerto Ricans.
It is the story of a 70-year old Puerto Rican super who runs for U.S. Congress in El Barrio, NYC…in order to get the drug dealers out of his neighborhood.
The film is based on actual events, real people, and uses New York politicians in several cameo roles.
This week, Vote For Me! is screening in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
SAN JUAN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
The film plays tomorrow (Tuesday, Sept. 6) at 9 pm, and Wednesday (Sept. 7) at 2 pm, at the San Juan International Film Festival.
