Major gold deposits discovered in Puerto Rico

Book - 12-10

A US Geological Survey (USGS) has reported substantial gold deposits in Puerto Rico. They are concentrated in two municipalities, ten rivers, and the Sierra Luquillo sector.

The Sierra Luquillo deposits cover a staggering area. Acording to the USGS report, they extend for ten kilometers, and run all the way to the Atlantic Ocean.

The report is 337 pages long, completed jointly by the USGS and the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez. Its file name is “Open-File Report 98-38” and its title is Mineral Resource Assessment for the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico .

RIVERS OF GOLD

Pages 196-198 of the report analyze the gold deposits in two major municipalities: Utuado and Barranquitas.

They also report the “placer gold deposits” along ten rivers: Rio Fajardo, Rio Mameyes, Rio Humacao, Rio Maville, Rio Cibuco, Rio Daguao, Rio Grande de Loiza, Rio Sibuco, Rio Anasco, and Rio Grande de Manatí.

THE TREASURE OF THE SIERRA LUQUILLO

During the 17th century, the Spanish empire worked a gold mining area in the Sierra de Luquillo.

It looked something like this:

However, the vast majority of the area was not mined.

On page 197 of the USGS report, it states that “gold deposits persist for nearly the entire distance of 10 kilometers to the Atlantic Ocean.”

BATTLE FOR EL YUNQUE

The El Yunque rain forest is located in the Sierra Luquillo sector.

Rumors have circulated about the possible mining of El Yunque. Some estimates claim that tons of gold are buried in the volcanic ash of El Yunque.

According to attorney Aleida Centeno, the President of the Nationalist Party of Puerto Rico, the U.S. Forest Service is aware of the mining potential of El Yunque…a potential extending to 610,000 tons of gold.

At its current price, this amount of gold would yield over $26 trillion to its owners. To place this in context, the gross national product (GNP) of the United States is estimated at $18.45 trillion.

El Yunque is currently a “protected” national forest…but a gold deposit which is roughly 150% of the United States GNP, could easily persuade the US congress to “amend” that designation .

YET ANOTHER REASON FOR CLEARING THINGS UP

The existence of 610,000 tons of gold in El Yunque is far from certain. Some would call it fringe journalism, or science fiction.

However, even a fraction of that amount, could place the entire rain forest at risk.

It would be a shame to pit the irreplacable beauty of El Yunque, against the needs of the US economy.

This is yet another reason, for clearing up the relationship between the US and Puerto Rico…once and for all.

  1. If you actually read the report, there’s not much accessible gold. The placer deposits are offshore and the other deposits are meager.

  3. Rapping up the overall comments of gold in PR, the importance is the action, is it for a good cause, or for just removing the gold to the extent PR is worthless and booted by the USA. There is intrest for gold in more ways then one. A tug a war is what will be the outcome. Make no mistake the future holds the answer. And if turns to favor to remove the gold, be prepared for a huge change of drastic moments the world will see. Moments of a island stripped out for what it stands. A waste of land will be it’s name. My prediction, Puerto Rico get ready for what change will devistate you. You will have no chose.

All of that propaganda is to sell a book, that Who knows how many things said in it are true !—Puerto Rico, has being abused, and exploited for so many years, that now any progress on the ISLAND, is based on GREED. The only ones that benefits from any advancements or progress are those that are in power. ONLY THE POPULATION IS SUFFERIN. THE ONE’S IN GOVERNMENT AND THOSE IN CHARGE OF ANY AGENCIES, ARE ALL CORRUPTED !! THEY ARE LIVING LIKE —-FAT PIGS IN A FARM—- WITH LAVISHED ABUNDANCE OF EVERYTHING. THERE ARE STILL –PEOPLE LIVING IN HORRENDOUS POVERTY LACKING THE MINIMUM ESSENTIALS, LIKE , FOOD, ELECTRICITY AND WATER , STILL PEOPLE GO TO SLEEP HUNGRY, SINCE –MARIA. 5. I love some of the comments, some of these commenters need to learn a little history your ignorance is astounding!
They claim the Yankees stole everything from Puerto Rico. Who was there before the Yankees? Oh that’s right the Spaniards! Who was there before the Spaniards? Well the indigenous people the Taino who were at war with who? Oh that’s right the Carib people, Who came from where? Modern day Venezuela! What did the Carib people used to do to the Taino, Well they killed and kidnapped the Taino women. i.e. enslaved them. Yes, By the time Christopher Columbus arrived he noticed that the Taino were already involved in tribal warfare. Also in fact in Cuba the Cibonay people who lived on the west part of Cuba and the Taino who inhabited the eastern part of Cuba were also at war with each other.
You see there has always been tribalism and war in the islands called the greater Antilles. The Carib people were conquering the lesser Antilles islands and killing off the Taino. They were psuing them into the Greater antilles as they conducted their island hopping campaign to expand their empire.
So if Puerto RIco has anyone to blame is the Spaniards, For killing off the indigenous population by Disease, warfare and Slavery. Also should blame Venezuela.
So let’s get to the topic of the gold.
Who is going to mine the gold?
What will be the cost to mine the gold? Environmentally? Financially?
Who in Puerto Rico has the expertise to mine the gold?
Who will benefit from mining the gold?

    Not Puerto Rico
    The Rain Forest will suffer
Nobody benefits from mining the gold, except the company who mines it.

  7. Puerto Rico needs to choose Independence from the Tyranny of the US. The US is not and have never been our friends. We owe the USA nothing. The governors of Puerto Rico are bought and pay for the duopoly and Oligarchs of the US. You have to question yourself? if we are such an ingsignificant Island then why doesn’t the USA leaves us alone and stop meddling in our affairs. Something is going on.

  9. Given PR’s 100 + years history of living under U.S. Rule and its present circumstances, if any substantial amount of gold were to be found on its soil, it would not be a treasure kept by Puerto Rico to improve the lives of their native residents. Therefore, believing that gold would help solve the island’s economic crisis is a foolish hope. The odds of winning a millionaire lotto on a regular basis by the same lotto player are better. World history is full of greed and blood, and gold is soiled with these natural inclinations.

  12. Also MARGOT VARGAS:
That article you posted on the Program 2020
And the history of La Casa Pueblo founded by Alexis Massol-
El Plano, the papers where brought to him by Juan Antonio Corretjer. It is interesting to note that is during this same period (1984) that US CONGRESS removed the Bankruptcy Protection (Chapter 9) from Puerto Rico.
Today US Congress says it doesn’t know who did it….. ( Rep Strom Thurmond! A Racists, who believed in the separation of the races)
Then after that came the selling of Puerto Rico Bonds all over the US.
(I consider this debt an illegal debt)
So this was a complete, total plan!
I understand why Mr Alexis Massol was so afraid when he read the papers Juan Antonio Corretjer brought to him.
Unfortunately Juan Antonio Corretjer passed away and we do not have leaders, that bring papers out of La Fortaleza-
So we have to be very VIGILANT, especially today with the Financial Control Board and the plan La Promesa.
