Puerto Rico gets a Financial Control Board
The Financial Control Board (FCB) is on its way to Puerto Rico. Last night, the US Senate passed the PROMESA bill by a vote of 68-30. When it starts operating, the FCB will find a “cooperative” legislature that is already eager to privatize the island’s beaches, in exchange for a piece of the action.

Let us hope that the “political leaders” of Puerto Rico will work on behalf of their people, rather than use this FCB to acquire more “leverage” over their brothers and sisters.
We saw an example of this “leverage” last week – when they tried to privatize the island’s major beaches on the last day of their legislative session.
Within a few weeks, we will begin to see who our political leaders really represent…the people of Puerto Rico, or the Board members and billionaires who can “partner” with the politicians, and make them all rich.

si no por que acabaron con la industria de pollo y Agricola en general , en el mandato De Sila Calderon le puso el clavo a la caja Si los records de gastos estan correctos y no han dicho lo contrario fue donde mas dinero se gasto en 4 an’os que cualquiera de 8 anteriores o futuros Bueno en resumen le sirvio al Opus Dei y a los bonistas extranjeros Por que si no me equivoco a PR le dejo los aguacates en la plaza del Mercado de Santurce
Nos pusieron la carnada apetitosa en las manos y las piran’as se encargaron en desaparecerlas
A los coruptos sin discrimen de colores , no los metan preso Libre en la calle ,presos en conciencia que el pueblo los vea todos los dias y ellos lo que han causado y a lo major repongan en buenas acciones
Por eso me chupe 15 trantando de levanter una agricultura libre de quimicos perjudicial a nosotros y el ambiente con lo que habia establecido dentro de fincas comerciales en todo los reglones De mi propio bolsillo que fianlmente se desfondo .

Estaba y está CLARO que Puerto Rico es una colonial y todos los poderes que tiene el Congreso de los EU sobre Puerto Rico. Ante esta realidad obvia mi pregunta es ¿ Cómo es que nos hemos puesto, y nos hemos permitido poner en una situación tan vulnerable y en una demostración de ineptitud de manejo de gobierno donde nuestro gobernador tuvo que presentarse al Congreso sin los informes financieros requeridos.
La corrupcion, el querer llenar los ojos de los ciudadanos de grandes proyectos, por ganar elecciones, el que se trabaje para llenarse los bolsillos, el que no se supervise adecuadamente, no haya consecuencias por despilfarro o robo de dinero. La corrupcion y robo de miles de dólares en educación, fondos federales recibidos para unos propósitos y usados para otros, carros y lujos a los legisladores, escoltas no necesarias, cifras astronómicas en cabildeos en Washington. Deducibles en agua y luz a todo el mundo,dándole premio al que no trabaja y ahogando económicamente al que trabaja. Donde están todos estos responsables, algunos todavía aquí y otros viviendo la dulce y cómoda vida en ” USA “. Responsable somos todos, por permitir, mirar para el lado y esperar que otro haga, por lo que nos toca. TODOS SOMOS RESPONSABLES, DE QUE ESTA JUNTA, SE CREE PARA VENIR AQUÍ.
Si en vez de tirarnos unos a otros, de partidos pequeñitos , hubiésemos trabajado con lo que teníamos responsablemente no le hubiéramos abierto la puerta para este desastre. Estaríamos orgullosos de nuestro País y bregando adecuadamente con nuestros recursos. Otros con menos han hecho más. Vivimos en lalalandia y seguimos igual, cuando se elige a un candidato para gobernador por un partido mayoritario que casi se acaba de graduar, no tiene casi o ninguna experiencia de trabajo y menos política para querer gobernar un País que está en caos económico. Esto no es cuestión de su preferencia política esto es cuestión de ” SENTIDO COMÚN”, que Dios nos proteja de nosotros mismos, no veo otra.

Tanto a nivel público Estado Libre Asociado “ELA” como privado, individual y colectivo, la corrupción en Puerto Rico se ha convertido en una lacra prácticamente inmanejable para el Estado y sus instituciones, que repercute no solo en la pérdida de calidad de vida y de cuantiosas sumas de dinero, sino también en la violación de derechos humanos.
Esto nos afectan a nuestro retiro inversiones, propiedades , banca todos lo sistemas de bono municipales.
Esto es consciencia del sistemas de venta de bonos hecho en Puerto Rico. Por Puerto Rico !!!
Nosotros somos los bonistas no te equivoqué. Valor de propiedades , valor de certificados valor de retiros todo lo asuntos municipales está afectado por culpa de este corrupto gobierno.
Nuestros representante actual del gobierno, no tiene ningún tipo sustancias lleva 3 años dando la espalda a la inversión de Puerto Rico sin ningún tipo de negociaciones desde el día uno.
Estos son la consecuencia no supo negociar, y controlar el sistema del gobierno son unos ineptos.
Robo constante y los beneficios de su compatriotas
Sobre tasación de la población
Imponer como fuera un dictador
Utilización de miedo
Separar los grupos civiles para que no puede protestar
Permitir la separación de de la clase alta de la clase pobre eliminando clase medio
Control del televisión radio y medios para su mentirás
Eliminación de los intelectuales y profesionales para que se vayan de la isla
No permite que te ocurre, los sistemas de comunicación tiene está claro investigan y si no nosotros mismos a cada uno de este plan.
Problema son de todos , el mundo sólo ver que está pasando ahora. Un gobierno sin rumbo y lógica.
La ignorancia son las personas que no ven la verdad, no se puede tapar el cielo con la mano.
Hemos demostrado ser incapaces de administra un territorio de Puerto Rico.
Simplemente, administrarán este desastre a través de un Síndico Federal que tendrá la última palabra en cada peso que se gasta.
Y así Puerto Rico lo hace mejor

When will you constructively call for a democratic Congressional sponsored Plebiscite: Statehood vs Independence (without or with a PACT of Association??? Let the People democratically decide! Enough on criticism that goes no where; lets take reasonable action; stop living in the past or try to sell books! Besides, PROMESA is not perfect, but, it is a bi-partisan measure that will help Puerto Rico; prevent a worst disaster, per Experts (Economists) and others. LET REASON PREVAIL! With truth and ACTION we will overcome! PS: READ BELOW: **SOLVE PUERTO RICO’s UNDEMOCRATIC STATUS!**
The Federal Government (US President, US Congress, and US Supreme Court) must STOP institutional discrimination; against 2d Class US Citizens—Puerto Ricans/ American Veterans–that can’t Vote for their US President; don’t have just representation in their US Congress; no consent of the governed…or full Parity in Laws (Social Security, MEDICARE, MEDICAID, etc.), permanent US Citizenship or benefits… – like OTHER US Citizens enjoy)!
After, almost 120 years of undemocratic Territorial (Colonial) Status (Since 1898), and suppression of US Citizens– the Federal Government, that at times has been benevolent, must NOW do its sacred duty—ENSURE: Equal US Citizenship (with protected Individual Civil Rights-“Consent of the Governed”); EQUAL-FAIR application of the US Constitution (with all rights); Equal treatment under just laws; Due Process…; advance our Representative Democracy—BREAK Puerto Rico’s undemocratic Territorial/ Colonial Shackles!
*CONGRESS should take ACTION- redress an undemocratic wrong: The best final SOLUTION:
Conduct a DEMOCRATIC PLEBISCITE- with clear Constitutional NON-TERRITORIAL OPTIONS (that don’t confuse)– which are only two (per US Constitution):
• STATEHOOD—Admittance to the US -UNION of STATES- works for the common good… MEANS: Permanent US Citizenship; US Constitution; PR Constitution; ALL rights, benefits, and responsibilities; State Identity and Sovereignty… (Example: “Estado Boricua Soberano” de EEUU—like the” Lone Star Republic” of Texas…) vs
• INDEPENDENCE (without or with a PACT of Association);
MEANS: PR Citizenship; PR Constitution…; loss of US Citizenship; loss of US rights, benefits (like: Social Security, MEDICARE, MEDICAID…) and earned Federal Funds (for: Education, Transportation, Health Care, Security, Emergency Management, Human Services…); loss of protection of US Constitution…; if PACT- can be terminated by any of the Parts at any time…
**NOTE: Those born in Puerto Rico have an un-permanent statutory US Citizenship, even if residing in a State… Thus, all statutory US Citizens have “Legal Standing” to participate in a Congressional PR Status Plebiscite, because the outcome can affect them (could lose their un-permanent US Citizenship).
The US, also, belongs to Puerto Ricans, who are integrated US Citizens, (with own IDENTITY like other States have)! Hispanic Ancestors (1st Governor of PR), sailed from Puerto Rico- found Florida (1513)—opened the doors to advance civilization (of the times)-107 years before the Pilgrims!
Puerto Ricans have sacrificed; shed sweat, blood and tears…; made many other great contributions (Arts, Business, Economic/Job creation, Security, Social, Sports, Defense…) to the forming of our US that includes fighting in the War of Independence, Civil War, WW-I, WW-II, Korea, Vietnam, and up to today for our noble US Flag. (Besides, the US 65th Infantry—the Borinqueneers, who suffer discrimination, led the way—wining the Congressional Gold Medal—highest honor Congress can bestow…)
Politicians–must stop distorting the truth; stop generalizations, speculations, confusing, and outright lies; but, constructively provide and take action for a good democratic solution! Don’t fanatically follow the Blind over a Clift or those that sing Siren songs that brings destruction! Seek the truth—that will liberate you!
Again, the only true reasonable FINAL NON-COLONIAL SOLUTION (per US Constitution) is: STATEHOOD or INDEPENDENCE! Let the People decide; not a local Constitutional Assembly made up of Politicians…! Besides, local Plebiscites have no force for change. It is the Federal Government’s duty to serve justice; take ACTION, now!
INDEPENDENCE would be catastrophic for Puerto Rico! The best solution is STATEHOOD—admittance to the UNION of SOVERAIGN STATES—working for the good of ALL! But, let the People democratically decide; reasons prevail!
After almost 120 years of inequality and suppression; Puerto Rico’s great contributions (since 1513) to our now USA–Patriots of True Grit will march into Hell for a Heavenly just cause—EQUALITY- FAIRNESS; equal protection under just laws; due process… The call is out for JUSTICE or Civil Rights peaceful disobedience!
The TIME is now–Take ACTION—DEMAND Congress and Other Political Leaders–let US Puerto Ricans democratically choose: STATEHOOD or INDEPENDENCE! UNITED–With truth and ACTION—WE will overcome!

Hola! WE must FOCUS! THE BEST CONSTITUTIONAL L SOLUTION FOR PUERTO RICO’s undemocratic and discriminatory STATUS is: a Congress mandated Plebiscite with clearly defined Constitutional Options (that don’t confuse)-EXAMPLE below.
It’s time, to stop discrimination; political distortion! The US and Puerto Rico’s Justice Departments must do their duty–take up the just cause-EQUALITY fight to the Federal/ US Supreme Courts—until they do true justice; not continue to abide by faulty pass biased decisions rooted in racism, and discrimination! The US Citizen comes first!
The US President; US Congress; Federal/US Supreme Courts are there to serve and fight for its US Citizens, not suppress them! Thus, after almost 120 years (since 1898) of un-democratic discrimination against the US Territory of Puerto Rico and its 2d Class US Citizens– it is the duty of the Federal Government to take ACTION; enact a Final Solution: Statehood vs Independence (with or without Pact).
EXAMPLE CLEAR NON- TERRITORIAL PLEBISCITE BALLOT
PART I:
A. PURPOSE/ GENERAL: This is a sanctioned Congressional Plebiscite for US Citizens (Statutory-born in Puerto Rico, and Others residing in the US Territory of Puerto Rico) mandated by the US Congress, IAW the US Constitution Territorial Clause that states: Congress shall have the power to dispose of and make all rules, and regulations pertinent to the Territory or Property belonging to the United States.
The US Congress will democratically measure the free will of the US Citizens residing in the US Territory of Puerto Rico and other statutory US Citizens (no matter where they reside)– as to their desire to select an EQUAL Non-Territorial Status, per the US Constitution.
The US Congress offers EQUALITY through: Statehood or Independence (with or without Pact); naturalization of Statutory US Citizens in the States; a transition period of 5 years… per the below defined OPTIONS, IAW the Constitution of the United States.
B. PROCESS: TBD
PART II: VOTE
CHOOSE ONLY ONE OPTION:
_______STATEHOOD
MEANS: The US Territory of Puerto Rico will enter the “Union of the United States” as Equals– with a permanent US Citizenship, under the US Constitution, with—equal rights, responsibilities, and benefits; State Boricua Identity; State Sovereignty; State Constitution.
_______INDEPENDENCE- (With or Without Pact)
(IF YOU CHOSE INDEPENDENCE; CHOOSE ONLY ONE OF BELOW OPTIONS)
_______INDEPENDENCE with PACT (Free Associated Republic or other name)
MEANS: The US Territory of Puerto Rico would become a Sovereign Entity with Puerto Rican Citizenship, under a Puerto Rican Constitution, but, with a PACT of Association with the United States; which terms need to be negotiated; can be terminated by any of the Parts. A PR Constitutional Convention will negotiate the Pact.
*NOTES:
• All Federal Benefits will be lost-Social Security, MEDICARE, MEDCAID, etc.); Federal Funding will cease: (Health, Defense, Security, Education, Transportation, Roads, etc.– upon INDEPENDENCE- becoming only Citizens of Puerto Rico.
• Statutory (by law) US Citizens (born in Puerto Rico; no matter their residency) have a non-permanent US Citizenship that will be lost (an Entity can’t be Sovereign with the Constitution or Citizenship of another Entity). But, Congress will naturalize those statutory US Citizens residing in a State, as to the date of the Plebiscite.
• Puerto Rico Association with the United States PACT, to be negotiated by a PR Constitutional Convention or any other way, as determined by the “Citizens of Puerto Rico”, with the US Congress, can include some Defense, Security, Economic, and possibly other things that will mutually benefit Puerto Rico and the US. But, this PACT can be terminated by any of the parts (Puerto Rico or US) at any time.
________INDEPENDENCE WITHOUT PACT (No ties to US)
MEANS: The US Territory of Puerto Rico would become a Sovereign Entity with Puerto Rican Citizenship (under a Puerto Rican Constitution) with no negotiated Associated Pact or Treaty.
*NOTES:
• All Federal Benefits will be lost-Social Security, MEDICARE, MEDICAID, etc.); Federal Funding will cease: (Health, Defense, Security, Education, Transportation, Roads, etc.– upon INDEPENDENCE- becoming only Citizens of Puerto Rico.

Really don’t understand why you all surprised? I got sick at work, now have all these health problems severe nerve damage knees back problems, you been discriminated ALL YOUR lives and now YOU just seeing it? I think you are lucky NOT to have lived through all I have as a Puerto Rican. I don’t hate America, but I know I have never been equal, I been struggling ALL my life, you from the island, or those blessed with health jobs and college education and now just realizing injustices must be so blessed or really dark or really white, because I have known discrimination since I was a child in USA. Miracle of God and his mercy, love helped me to get this far..my faith tested in ways ppl can’t even imagine. We don’t have anyone to blame, you envy your own instead of sticking TOGETHER. Idk what to say or do just read the scriptures and pray for ALL puerto Rican ppl. Amen.

You are not reading the bible clearly, this is ALL prophetic in the book of revelations, the first seal has been opened-Ephraim is Puerto Rico, one of the 12 tribes of Israel, the bible reads Ephraim has been DEFILED. YOU are the lamb description to carry the sins of others through no fault of your own, and without knowing. The lamb opened up the first seal, the pale horse. Judah was given the crown over the lamb to break it’s bow, the angels are no longer protecting the lamb. Ephraim must return to the heart of WORSHIP, because you will not be saved from the tribulations amongst us all. What is to come are the other seals the book of revelations speaks of, the red horse, the black horse-the antichrist is soon to take earth. So stop trying to see what has been prophecy to HAPPEN and call on to Jesus. You me we have not seen nothing yet. God bless.

Jim Crow laws are set in place. Now all they have to do is buy the new four wheel luggage and roll the stolen loot through the LMM airport and back to the good ol USA while whistling Dixie. I don’t agree with the commercialization of the island, but something has to be done to create jobs. I just left the island and there is tons of construction going on in San Juan, many and plenty of new streets and sidewalks that lead to empty and abandoned establishments. Something has to pay for that. I hope in the end it gets some Comercial, some industry and the people get to breath dance and eat. The important stuff, breath dance and eat.

SI YA EXISTE ELCONSENSO DE QUE EL ELA ES COLONIAL entonces busquemos el consenso para la descolonización. El ELA como fue establecido en 1952 no lo quiere nadie. Esta claro que: el ELA es un instrumento de relación colonial de Puerto Rico con Estados Unidos. Lo ha dicho el gobierno imperial a través de sus tres ramas: Judicial, Legislativa y Ejecutiva. Así que, nada más con el testigo, y a admisión de culpa relevo de prueba. Debemos trabajar para solucionar la madeja colonial. El consenso es que llegó el momento de la suprema definición.
