Puerto Rico’s “private” beaches . . . Puerto Rico’s lying politicians . . . and Juan Bobo

Book - 12-10

Five days ago, Puerto Rico was shocked when its House of Representatives voted to “privatize” beaches all over the island. The news traveled with lightning speed…this Facebook page received 319, 000 views, and 41,000 views hit our website.

The politicos were so EMBARRASSED by the public indignation that the bill was withdrawn the next day, in the Puerto Rico Senate. But they will try to sneak it through again. Here is how and why…

THE GOVERNOR WAS ALL SET TO SIGN THE BILL

When a nasty bill like P.C. 2853 emerges on the last day of session, with no public review or debate…and only one of 51members votes against it, then this scheme was planned out in advance…to’ planchao.

Both parties – the PPD and PNP – signed off on it immediately.

They were going to sneak it through the Senate the very next day (Saturday, June 25) which was also the last day of the Senate session. Then everyone would break for summer vacation, and the Governor would quietly sign the bill, along with dozens of other bills.

But oh oh…they got caught.

Every politician that voted for it is now exposed as a hypocrite and a traitor…selling the beaches of Puerto Rico, for some private advantage.

Gov. Garcia-Padilla had to step back…but he left the door open…by saying that he might call for a “special session,” in which the bill could be re-considered.

THE VOTING PATTERN WAS PRE-ARRANGED

Look at the vote results:

Politicians exposed

The only vote against the bill came from Jose Luis Báez Rivera – who is not running for re-election.

Six other politicians were marked “Absent.”

All six of the “Absent” politicians have beaches in or near their district. They were allowed to be “Absent,” so that they could run for re-election.

A FOOL NAMED ANGEL MATOS GARCIA

Whoever submitted this bill, if discovered, would become the most unpopular politician in Puerto Rico. So who did they pick?

Angel Matos García…the PPD representative from CAROLINA.

The voters of Carolina already hate Matos Garcia because he sided with the Marriott Hotel, which is trying to privatize the Balneario de Carolina beach area. So Matos Garcia was chosen for the fool’s errand, to introduce this disgusting bill.

http://www.primerahora.com/noticias/policia-tribunales/nota/pasquinestildanalalcaldedecarolinadetraidor-1124500/

He is already paying the price.

Just yesterday, he was caught lying through his teeth…shouting that “my bill does not privatize beaches!” even though Article 12 of the bill specifically authorizes the Secretary of Natural Resources to convert the public beaches of Puerto Rico into “private franchises,” which can then be leased for thirty years.

IT IS TIME FOR JUAN BOBO

The politics of Puerto Rico have become so disgusting, that it is time for Juan Bobo to run for office.

Juan Bobo

Juan Bobo is a man of the people.

He is Tito Kayak on a flagpole.

He is Adalberto Rodriguez, El Alcalde de Machuchal.

He will hold a press conference and call Gov. Garcia-Padilla a crook.

Juan Bobo for Gov

The next day, at another conference, he’ll call Luis Fortuño an even bigger crook.

Juan Bobo Interview

The following day he’ll get confused and run in the wrong district, against Charles Foster Kane.

Juan Bobo Kane

What Juan Bobo won’t do is lie to his own people, or sell their beaches behind their backs.

  11. I am disgusted with the politicians in PR. I live in Puerto Rico, I have felt to core of my bones when my daughter & grandson left Puerto Rico because my daughter’s husband couldn’t find a job. The tears I shedded could have filled a couple of beaches in Puerto Rico. The same beautiful beaches these crock politians are trying to make private for the big businesses mind you NOT for local businesses but for the big corporate companies. WE WILL NOT ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN TO OUR BEACHES. All the Mega stores in Puerto Rico DO NOT Pay Taxes eg. Walmart, Macy, Costco, etc., their profits are immediately transferred to their main offices in USA, nothing stays Puerto Rico. They hire local employees on part-time bases, They DO NOT any medical benefits or any other type of benefits. The other day I was at a convention and the government of Puerto Rico was offering tax brakes to companies from other countries if they established their businesses in Puerto Rico. I don’t understand what is wrong with these poliitians. I guess they only think about their selfish personnel gain. WE CANNOT ALLOW THEM TO CONTINUE GIVING TAXES BRAKES TO MULTIMILLION COMPANIES AND OUR BEACHES ARE NOT FOR SALE. THANK YOU FOR WRITING THESE INFORMATION IN THE INTERNET.

Gerardo Aristud…thanks for lending a note of informed, intelligent and insightful commentary to a topic on a website that all too predictably turns into an hysterical stream of “viva mi gente”, “soy boreekwa to duh max”, “porto rico forever and always” babosidades. I appreciated reading your knowledgeable words in glaring contrast to yet another “cut-and-paste” exercise from FB to any number of ignorant “la tino” websites. Keep reading and commenting or otherwise the political maggot swarm consumes every topic relevant to the many and very diverse Hispanic-cultured peoples of the planet and before long we are all riding on the backs of Chihuahuas at the next “La Tino” extra-terrrestrial conference on Mars.

  15. It’s not going to be that simple Dr. Rex. In 1984, I was a part of the team of Urban Planners, who performed the research and created the beach access investigation throughout the island. The results were a “Regulation Access to the Beaches of Puerto Rico” (Aceso a las Playas de Puerto Rico)prepared for the U.S. National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Washington, D.C. The regulation clearly specifies that the beaches of Puerto Rico are accessible to the public. And this means in particular those barricaded by Hotels and coastal urbanizations! So let it be written, so let it be done! So note, that before these fools (Legislators) are able to walk, they have to ask their right foot permission in order to move their left foot forward! This miserable Partido Popular Democratico (PPD) is the reason Puerto Rico is in the deplorable state it is for decades!

  17. The guillotines are going up just outside of Fortaleza.

When the steel blades drop on the skinny necks of our “best and brightest” political spoke-putos money can buy…
the blood-drenched Polo shirts and Victoria’s Secret thongs will go flying into the ocean, along with the keys to their Mercedes-Benz limousines.

Their families will scurry to their “casa-de-campo” outside of Ponce or to their yachts in San Juan harbor or they’ll jump on their jets to Madrid, Miami or Manhattan.

Their names will go down in history, but not in a good way.
Their bones join the pile of political skeletons they have built their dishonest, duplicitous and despicable “careers” on.
Meanwhile at Palmas del Mar, the lobster cocktails will be consumed by the world’s richest and most vile human-maggots.
    No surprises here.

Puerto Rico will get through this.
But it won’t be because of any US efforts to “protect” its “protectorate” or make “common” the “wealth” of the “commonwealth”.

Better days ARE coming. We’ve been through worse…don’t give up.

For those of us not living on the Island…take your vacations there, start your cruises there. Spend your money there and support the tourist industry that the working class depends on for its survival…the tour guides, the bar-tenders, the spa-attendants, the surf-instructors, the concierge, the bell-hops, the tropical gardeners, the restaurateurs and wait-staff, the “baristas”, the cab-drivers, the zip-line instructors, the shop-keepers, the Hard-Rock-Cafe T-shirts vendors, the road-siders serving you coco-nut milk concoctions, the college students on the beach behind the hotels on El Condado, selling your $5 Diet Pepsis, the airport shop-keepers peddling Hula-Hula dashboard ornaments in grass-skirts (our native “costume”).

Or just be quiet and hold on to your TV remote controls watching re-runs of the “Puerto Rican Day Parade” with “authentic limbo-dancers, phony Tainos from New Jersey and sword-swallowers simultaneously pounding on Calypso drums..and continue to plan vacations where you will waste $10,000 Disney vacations.

The choice is yours…help out our brothers and sisters…they need our help now more than our criticism.

The politicians? They deserve very rusty and jagged guillotine blades and hungry sharks below.

  18. Are the beaches being privatized by the Estado Libre Asociado de Puerto Rico? Are they then going to award 30 year leases to private companies? At the end of 30 years, do the beaches revert back to Puerto Rico. What is really going on? Do we all stretch the facts just enough. Let’s deal with the facts. Our politicians have been suspect for many years.
