Federal lawsuit charges that Puerto Rican politicians received 100 million dollars in oil company bribes
A bombshell lawsuit is about to explode in Washington, D.C. It charges that for thirteen years, from 2002 till 2015, a “Fuel Oil Cartel” in Puerto Rico poisoned the air and water in Puerto Rico, and that government officials received over $100 million to “look the other way.”
According to the lawsuit, between 500 and 600 lab reports on this toxic oil were falsified, so that the illegal oil shipments could continue.

BETWEEN 100 MILLION AND ONE BILLION DOLLARS IN POLITICAL KICKBACKS
In the 80-page complaint, paragraphs 19, 23, 77, 80, 85, 102, 103, and 176 detail the main elements of the conspiracy.
In 1994, PREPA closed its oil testing lab, and started “out-sourcing” all tests to private lab facilities, which falsified the lab test results on oil shipments purchased by PREPA. This enabled the government to buy inferior toxic oil…then pass it off as premium oil.
In one lab known as Caleb Brett, 500 to 600 lab reports were falsified…and employees who refused to participate in the fraud, were fired.
In this manner, foreign oil companies such as Petrobras made a criminal level of profit, and Puerto Rican politicians pocketed between 100 million and 1 billion dollars in bribes, during the 2002-2015 period.
According to a top executive at Petrobras, Mr. Paulo Roberto Costa, about 3% of his oil company’s contracts were typically “re-invested” in bribes to local government officials.
If this “3% Rule” was applied to Puerto Rico, then the political class of Puerto Rico received up to 1.2 billion dollars in bribes to poison their own people. (see paragraphs 80, 77).
Apparently, 1.2 billion dollars buys a lot of strange behavior.
For certain corrupt politicians, this includes a willingness to poison their own people.

Ahora Garcia Padilla, se convierte en ciudadano español, depues del arreglito y extensión del contrato con autopistas de la cual Fortuño, es el nuevo oficial de la junta de directores, con vista a privatizar en unión al méjicano del aeropuerto,

Y yo que vivo en Levittown cerca de la planta de Energía Eléctrica he sufrido de un asthma incontrolable causado por el ambiente por culpa de esos pillos robando y dañando mi salud. Que descaro. Lo mucho que me han hecho sufrir. Que los cojen a todos esos sucios bandidos y que lo castigan con lo más fuerte de la ley.

Only a corrupt administration of this agency explains why this monopoly went bankrupt (de facto). They were so busy robbing the people of Puerto Rico that they didn’t even invest in infrastructure or new technology thus strangling the goose that laid the golden eggs.
