Puerto Rico has a gladiator in the US Congress: Luis Gutiérrez. The Congressman has thundered in committee…and now, on the entire floor of the US Congress.
Yesterday, on the US congressional floor, Gutiérrez planted the image of a Puerto Rican flag with the words FREE PUERTO RICO on it. Then he stood right next to the flag, and delivered a historic speech about “freedom for Puerto Rico.” You can see the entire speech right here:
The press immediately reported his speech.

Gutiérrez delivered his legendary speech, even as the US Congress prepares a “Financial Control Board” to take over the entire government and economy of Puerto Rico.
He delivered his speech, even as a “2016 Puerto Rico Investment Summit” (February 11 and 12), discusses how to carve, slice, divide and rob the island for the next 30 years.
In these difficult and dangerous times, it important to know that Puerto Rico has a great defender in Washington, D.C.
Call him a champion. Call him a gladiator. Call him a son of Don Pedro Albizu Campos.
Call him Congressman Luis Gutiérrez.

Ese cabrón es una gladiola con las fantasías de una persona que no es Boricua. No vive aquí ni es de aqui. Vayensen all al carajo con un español antiguo que ni se reconoce.
¿Quien habla asi? Por Dios.

Bernardino,
I disagree with you. Every action which Luis Gutierrez has undertaken with respect to Puerto Rico has been ethical, courageous, and committed to the people of Puerto Rico.
In fact, he has been the only Puerto Rican congressperson who remained consistent in his support for the island.
All the other congresspeople caved in, cut a deal, and voted for PROMESA. Not Luis Gutierrez. He is the ONLY real congressional gladiator for our people.

Like the history of the “American Dream” the saying… ‘Give me Liberty or Give me Death’. The word Freedom, Liberty, Independence, sovereignty are applicable to Puerto Rico. In 1898 Invasion, captivity, imprisonment of an entire country. Puerto Rico can walk the walk on It’s Own And if you read the history you’ll understand more of what’s going on in the World Today… Free Jerusalem.

I have been following and paying close attention to the Senator for sometime now. I say to myself and every Puerto Rican should be saying it too” Conyo Enough Already!
If what he is saying doesn’t anger and instil a sense of wanting proactive changes starting from the PPD PNP PIP political parties to the poor, working and unemployed classes in Puerto Rico. lets make Puerto Rico’s autonomy in the hands and destiny of the Island residents. What is wrong with you Boricua? like a campaign that was run in the 70’s which stated aloud “Despierta BoricuaI Defiende lo suyo” which means” Wake Up Boricua defend What Is Yours. Today we are still asleep and need to defend ourselves.
Could it be that it (Boricua’s) have been mentally and physically enslaved so long, 519 years to round it off. To even think of a sever (Like a House Negro) is not even a remote possible thought
” THIS IS A PROBLEM” SO JUST FREE PUERTO RICO.

I hope the United States government doesn’t resort back to 20th Century tactics. I’m referring to what they did to Don Pedro Albizu Campos, which was 24/7 F.B.I. harrassment, intimidation and surveillance of him his family, friends, and followers. Just because he spoke the truth and tried in vain to help his people. “United we stand, divided we fall”. If the colonial system uses the Puerto Rican people again to intimidate and kill their fellow Boricuás then again we will fail. Once more I write, “United we stand, divided we fall.

Something fishy is going on. First, there’s the congressman talking up the votes. Next is a political entrepreneur in PR declaring himself guilty of political pandering, getting a truckload of money from the local government, and pulling down a lot of “notables” with his mea culpa.
I don’t believe in Santa Claus, and I don’t believe in politicians. Too many hidden agendas are cropping up. Perhaps it’s time to invest in a bunker and MREs (meals ready to eat; dehydrated food).
Thanks for the warnings!
