War Against All Puerto Ricans: Revolution and Terror in America’s Colony

In 1944, Luis Muñoz Marín mounted a furious campaign through the Puerto Rican countryside.

He distributed hundreds of thousands of copies of El Batey, the PPD newsletter.

He toured the Cordillera Mountain range in a jeep, with huge speakers that blasted into the mountainsides.

He spoke with thousand of jíbaros and promised them pan, tierra y libertad (bread, land and liberty).

The liberty never arrived, but it paid off for Muñoz Marín.

He became governor of Puerto Rico in 1948.

  2. TRUE ALL LIES BECAUSE YOU CAN’T FEED A PEOPLE UNLESS YOU MAKE SACRIFICES, SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO PLAY THE DEVIL’S ADVOCATE… OR SEE YOUR PEOPLE DIE—POLITICS ALL BULLSHIT–IT TAKES INTEGRITY TO KEEP ONE’S SOUL . 26What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?

  4. When I see through the articles of this website how the people of Puerto Rico have been lied to and disgraced through no fault of their own, I feel lots of anger.
