George Torres is a community builder who presents, promotes, and preserves Latino culture via new media. He has worked with Richie Perez, Juan PaPo Swiggity Santiago, and MUEVETE on many cultural, digital and consciousness-raising projects. 

While in college, Torres conceived Sofrito For Your Soul, as a personal journal to document his university experience and his affinity for poetry. Eventually, Sofrito grew into a website that highlights all aspects of Latino culture, and it has now gained an international audience.

We thank George Torres, and his inspiring website, for publishing a detailed history of War Against All Puerto Ricans – from the date of its publication until today.
