BREAKING NEWS…
The WAR AGAINST ALL PUERTO RICANS…returns from Puerto Rico!
Over the next few days and weeks, I will share photos and memories from my week-long tour in Puerto Rico. It was an unforgettable experience.
I met Rafael Cancel Miranda, Don Heriberto Marín Torres, Quique Aroyoa, Luis Gonzalez Argueso, Ruben Berríos, Maria de Lourdes Santiago, Juan Dalmau, Aleida Centeno, Silverio Pérez, Braulio Castillo, Jr., Chucho Avellanet, and a daughter (Laura) and two granddaughters (Rosa and Cristina) of Don Pedro Albizu Campos.
WAR AGAINST ALL PUERTO RICANS sold out in every event, with lines that stretched out of the door – at Bookmark, Tertulia San Juan, even el Ateneo Puertorriqueño. When I left the island there were no copies left in Costco, Walgreen’s, or even Amazon…and the publisher was urgently printing a new wave of books.
Everyone — even the publisher — had underestimated the audience for the book.
Everyone but me. I knew the hunger that people had for this information. Puerto Rico, and its history, has been ignored for too long.
That is now changing, and not a moment to soon. Fifty years after the death of Don Pedro, Puerto Rico is in crisis – spiritually and economically. We all need to know how she got into this mess (hint: the US had something to do with it), before she can get out of it.
Thanks to Puerto Rico, WAR AGAINST ALL PUERTO RICANS is a Number 1 Amazon Best Seller…even when the book is not in stock!
But that is not the story.
The real story is…Puerto Rico is hungry for information, and hungry for a great change.
